TLT Water Blasting
Hydro Demolition
Hydro demolition is used to remove concrete. Due to concretes porous nature it can be hydro blasted without damaging any supports or mechanical systems within the concrete. By adjusting settings to suit the application we can remove selected, damaged or aging concrete to the required depth, whilst maintaining the integrity of the remaining structure.
The benefits of hydro demolition:
• Targets specific areas of weakened or deteriorated concrete
• Eliminates vibrations and does not damage the surrounding area
• Ensures a dust free environment
• Minimises environmental impact
• Increase the safety of work sites
• More cost effective and efficient, compared to a jack hammer.
Some examples of previous applications:
• Cutting steel beams
• Cutting thick concrete sections
• Concrete demolition
Tank Cleaning
Water blasting is effective at cleaning tanks; they can perform the following options:
• Advice of most cost effective method and tank cleaning techniques
• Safe disposal of any residue after cleaning
• Advice on future maintenance and inspections
• Clean tanks and vessels prior to decommissioning or renovation
• Tank repairs
• Temporary storage of tank fluid
Dry Ice Blasting
Dry ice blasting differs to water blasting as it uses carbon dioxide (CO2) frozen pellets. This makes it an effective cleaning option as it leaves no residue, only the material being removed.
The process consists of ice pellets hitting the intended surface and rapidly converting into a gas, which shrinks the target material and makes it lose adhesion to the surface.
Dry ice blasting is effective on:
• Dirt
• Grime
• Paint
• Oil
• Decals
• Ink
• Resin
• Soot
• Tar
• Asphalt
The benefits of dry ice blasting:
• Pellets are soft and do not cause damage to surrounding structures
• Target specific areas
• Eliminates requirement to use potentially harmful solvents
• Eliminates using water or jack hammers
• 100% eco-friendly which means no environment risk
• Fully bio-degradable
• Ideal used with food and beverage equipment
• Increases safety of worksites
• Cost effective
• Immediate results
• Assists with removing toxic residues and smells following a fire
